Overview

Join us for this special 3-part series to learn about and plan out your garden for 2026.

Are you a new gardener or looking to dive deeper into the vegetable gardening world this year? Get the most out of your garden this year by planning ahead with our Production Manager, Amber. Sign up for all three classes for a complete and individualized game plan on your vegetable garden this season.

Each session will be located in the back of our greenhouse.

(Attendance at all three is recommended, but not required).

Session 1 - January 24th, 12 p.m. - Intro to Vegetable Gardening

Start planning your garden for 2026! Join our Production Manager, Amber, to learn about and make your garden plan for this year. We'll go over what type of garden to consider (raised beds, in ground, or containers), growing in our zone, what might be best to grow in your garden, and more! Learn how to think about what you want to grow, how much, what type of garden you want to do, and how long of a gardening season you want.

Session 2 - February 14th, 11 a.m. - Mapping Out Your 2026 Garden

In this second session of our intro to vegetable gardening series, consider where to locate your garden and what would be best when thinking about soil, light, drainage, water, incline, etc. We'll also talk about where to buy good seeds, general tips for success, and more! This session will cover how to think about a basic mapping of your house/garden - where it will go and how big it will be.

Session 3 - February 28th, 11 a.m. - The Final Plan for Your 2026 Garden

In this third and final session of our intro to vegetable garden class, we'll talk about weekly tasks to prioritize, how much to water and when, weeding, pests/diseases, end of season shutdown, and more! We will discuss how to place all the crops you've decided to grow (figured out in Session 1) into where they are going to go in your garden plan (figured out in Session 2) and determine the best spot and support for each item. We'll also go over a plan for succession if you decide to do multiple crops in the same bed.

This first session is part of our annual Plant Palooza celebration! Come enjoy special sales, a free prop-swap station, and much more from Janaury 24th to February 1st. Check out everything happening at https://ashcombe.com/plant-palooza/
