About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Want to talk about race?
Do you sweat and freeze up when confronted with an impromptu IRL discussion of race with people who are a different race than you? Practice talking about race in a multi-racial group in an open, compassionate, educational environment.

Many RJC events feature deep conversations about race, racism and similar themes. The RJC introduced this informal "Let's talk about race" series for beginners to provide a space for those who are less comfortable talking about race in multi-racial groups and need a space to practice talking about race.

Identify yourself racially
In these events, you will be asked to identify yourself racially before we open to informal group discussion.

Learn more about RJC's mission
During these events, we explain a bit about the Racial Justice Collaborative mission, team and services.

This is a reccuring event.
RJC offers this event on a recurrring, quarterly basis. It is geared towards people new to the racial justice space, but all are welcome to join this informal discussion.

What to expect

Agenda: This is an informal, but structured gathering. There is nothing to prepare, just bring yourself and an open mind and heart.

Zoom: Our online events are held on Zoom in a group chat format so all can participate. These events are not recorded. We strongly encourage video turned on for better face-to-face interaction.

All are welcome.

Organized by

We are a dynamic Black-led, multi-racial, multi-generational justice organization working to transform the energies of inequality and anti-Blackness to advance a just and equitable society that serves all of its people. Using an interdisciplinary approach, we examine all aspects of race education and conflict to hold space so that all voices engage in dialogue with one another. We cultivate individual and organizational transformation as we guide participants toward equity and healing.
