Intro to Oils: Spring Landscapes Workshop (Ages 18+) - 2-Sessions

In this two-week workshop, participants will explore the fundamentals of oil painting while focusing on spring landscapes as the subjects. During this class we will learn about the unique properties of oil paint and experiment with color mixing and paint application strategies. Students will apply their new knowledge and unique vision to various sources including landscape images from photographs, and imagined possibilities in landscape painting. Additionally, we will look at paintings by contemporary artists considering landscape today. Welcome to all skill levels!

This class is a workshop and will meet two times.

Supplies are included in the cost of this class. Students will leave the class with an oil painting kit.

This is an in-person workshop that will be held onsite at MoCA Arlington.
