Intro to California Native Plants for L.A. & Valley Gardens

Join native plant nerd Antonio Sanchez from @nativesageagainstthemachine as he dives deep into California native seed! With nearly 20 years of expereince growing California native plants, Antonio will cover:

  • How to idenitfy seed of most species of native plants
  • Methods for collecting and cleaning native seed
  • Tips and tricks for waking native seed up, including online resources for doing your own research
  • Soils, trays, soils and fertilziers to use when working with native seed

This class takes place online, and is offered free to anyone in the general public. It is also part of a 6-week training collaboration between Artemisia Nursery and Shift Our Ways Collective Backyard Farm in Reseda (@shift ourways) to start a collective, volunteer run nursery in San Fernando Valley offering low-cost native plants to the community.
