About this event

**Please do not take a ticket unless you are going to show up, tickets are very limited due to the hands on nature of this class.**

Intro to Lean & Process Mapping was created by Corey Niemeyer, who teaches it to Colorado state employees. Corey works for the CO Department of Public Safety as a Process Improvement Specialist. He has been in the process improvement world for 5 years and takes a practical approach to Lean and teaching.

The majority of this virtual hands on class involves a PB&J making simulation, which learners will use to process map, identify waste, brainstorm solutions and prioritize the solutions they came up with. It is a lot of fun and attendees will pick up valuable skills while having a good time.

ABOUT

The Colorado Lean Network (CLN) works to inspire, develop, and support improvement practitioners to better serve Colorado organizations and communities by connecting existing and aspiring practitioners to the right mentors, models, and resources.

HISTORY

The Colorado Lean Network evolved organically after practitioners at Denver WaterDenver Peak AcademyDenver Health and Hospital Authority realized the growing need for a professional Lean group around the Denver area in 2012. The group started hosting quarterly meetings with 10-20 attendees and that number quickly grew.  In 2014, the first Mile High Lean Summit (now called the Colorado Lean Summit) was held. Since that time, our group has grown rapidly with members from all over the state–including members from the Colorado State Office for Performance Planning and Operations.
