Are you considering getting an e-bike yourself and are concerned about risks?
Join Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition's certified League Cycling Instructors for a free Introduction to E-Bikes class, designed for folks who want to better understand the risks and rewards of e-bikes.
E-bikes are fun, fast, and increasingly popular, especially among teens, but many are alarmed by how quickly riders can get into dangerous situations. This class gives you the knowledge and tools to ride safely, legally, and confidently in this rapidly evolving industry. Participants will also get to take home a reflective safety vest to increase your visibility on the road!
What you will learn:
- The three classes of e-bikes and what makes them different
- How to choose good e-bikes and keep them safe
- Current laws and regulations around e-bike use
- How to navigate streets and roads safely on e-bikes
Come prepared to ask questions and learn! Water and snacks will be provided.
Thanks to generous funding from Measures A & W by the TA, C/CAG, and Commute.org this class is available to the public for free.
What prior attendees have said after previous Intro to E-Bike classes:
"I learned about different motors and what different power batteries actually help, plus local bike laws and where I can appropiately ride." - Savita
Please add a ticket for each participant (separate names).
