Event Overview:

This 2 and 1/2 hour class will teach you everything you need to know in order to play and run Dungeons & Dragons games and campaigns.

A lot of people put off learning how to play D&D because it's hard to know where to begin. A tabletop game that (appears) to require reading three textbooks before you start can seem quite daunting.

Fear not, this class demystifies the game and gives new players all the tools they need to immediately start playing with friends.

And you won't have to read any 300-page textbooks in order to start playing and having fun with D&D.

This class will cover the basics of the three core D&D 5th Edition books - Player's Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guile, and the Monster Manual.

You'll learn how to create characters, run campaigns, conduct in-game combat and spellcasting, roleplay monsters and NPCs, reward and level up your players' characters, and much more.

The first half of class we walk you through rules and the second half of class is spent playing out actually D&D scenarios and campaign sections with your fellow classmates so you can learn the game by actually playing it.

Each Class Participant Will Receive:

- All the digital supplementary materials you'll need to play a full beginner's D&D 5th Edition campaign. Including character sheets and rule book.

- A seven-piece set of polyhedral dice

- A 3D printed miniature game figure
