Intro to Digital Photography Workshop - PROCAM Cincinnati
Overview
This one day photography workshop is geared toward beginners with little to no experience and those who have used a camera but never really taken lessons or use their cameras in AUTO mode trusting the camera to do everything (cameras fail often and you can do better). Our instructors will keep it simple and concentrate on the foundations of photography. Like most of our Photography workshops and classes, we will use a combination of lecture, demonstrations and hands on Practice to help you develop a group of basic photographic skills that will help you improve you photos.
Course Topics
Section A:Photographic composition and critiquing photos.
Section B:The basics of exposure including: ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture (f-Stop), Exposure Compensation, Automatic and Semiautomatic Exposure Modes. How to avoid blurry photos due to camera shake and subject movement.
Section C:How to tell if your exposure is good and how to correct it if the photo is too dark or too light.
Section D: Simple Auto Focus settings to improve your images.
Section E:Getting started with Flash photography. Are you one of the many amateur photographers who is afraid of using a flash because, "It never works?". We can't teach you everything in a day but we will show you the basics of flash photography.
Section F:Questions and answer time about anything photographic, including topics not covered in this workshop. Students are also encouraged to ask question throughout the workshop.
