About this event

Step into the world of classic photography with our Intro to Cyanotype class! This all-ages, beginner-friendly workshop explores one of the oldest alternative print methods, first discovered in the 1800s. Cyanotype was invented in 1842 by English scientist Sir John Herschel, but it was botanist Anna Atkins who popularized the process, using it to create stunning botanical prints and laying the groundwork for what we now call photographic art.

Using sunlight, water, and natural materials, you'll create beautiful blue-toned prints and learn the science behind this awe-inspiring process. All materials are included and you get to take home your magical creation at the end of the workshop.
