Welcome to Intro to Crochet!

Join us for a fun and relaxing workshop where you'll learn the basics of crocheting. This event is geared to those who have never crocheted before, or are at the very beginning stages of learning! More advanced classes will be held at a later date.

What to Expect:

  • Step-by-step guidance on how to hold a crochet hook, as well as learning about different hook styles and types of hook materials
  • Basic introduction to different yarn weights and types
  • Learning basic stitches like chain, single crochet, and double crochet
  • Tips and tricks for reading crochet patterns
  • Hands-on practice!

Materials Needed:

  • A desire to have fun and get creative!

Materials Provided:

  • An acrylic worsted weight yarn in a random color
  • 2 crochet hooks, size 5.5 mm, tapered and inline
  • Stitch markers
  • Scissors
  • Storage box
  • Needle for weaving in ends

Nope! I will provide hooks and yarn for you! If you have your own favorite hook, feel free to bring it!

I already know how to crochet - is this the right class for me?

This class is geared for absolute beginners. I plan to offer more classes for intermediate crocheters as well as teaching things such as diagrams and amigurumi.
