The Department of Mental Health, Southeast Area, and the Department of Developmental Services, Southeast Region, are pleased to bring you this conference!

This conference, designed for the Direct Support Professional, will provide a brief overview of some of the more common mental illnesses experienced by those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including mood disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, and more.

Once you have a basic understanding of these mental illnesses, we will provide practical approaches for supporting individuals in their everyday lives. You will leave feeling empowered to provide person-centered, trauma-informed support!
