Intermediate Flamenco 201
Overview
Have you taken flamenco before and want to get back to it? Great! than you have found the perfect class to dust off thos shoes and get moving again.
We will warm up, stretch and begin with arm/hand work. Then footwork technique and choreograohy at the end.
Bring drakcomored form fitting excercise clothes. Yoga pants and hard soled, sturdy, closed toe shoes, boots or booties with thick heels.
About the Intructor
Julia Alcántara has been bringing the best of Flamenco to North Texas since 1998. She graduated from UNM in Albuquerque, the heart of flamenco in the US, where she studied Art, Art History, Flamenco History, choreography, improvisation, singing, and classical Spanish dance. She performed Bolero with the Irving Symphony in their “Dallas Treasures” concert. She has produced 15 Flamenco Festivals, toured 90 cities in the US and was the 1st American Flamenco Company to be invited to perform in Malaga, Spain.
