Students will put their new skills to practice with the guidence of the workshop lead.

Join us for an educational rabbit processing workshop led by afro indigenous and queer farmer, Angel (they/she). Angels passion is uplifting queer people of color through food sovereignty. She has 12 years of experience raising and processing their own rabbits. Learn and practice skills like humane dispatch, skinning, butchering, evisceration. Ending with Taking home a whole rabbit or cuts of rabbit, a rabbit foot keychain and a recipe card to use for cooking your rabbit.

Parking

This is a private residence so parking is limited to the street in front and surrounding neighborhood. Its usually very easy to find a spot.

Should i bring anything?

To take home your meat and to ensure food saftey bring a insulated bag or small cooler with ice.

Do i need to bring any tools?

All tools and equipment are provided for the workshop. Including gloves.

What should I wear?

Boots or tennis type shoes, Long Pants , Long sleeve shirt. If you have long hair bring a hair tie or clip and a bandana or headwrap to cover your hair. This is messy work so be prepared with clothes that you are ok with getting dirty.

Handwashing

There is running water to wash hands. Id come extra prepared with hand sanatizer for after the workshop.

Accessibility

There is a single flight of about a dozen steps leading to the garden area. There is a hand railing. I dont think this site is very accessibile for folks who can only use wheel chairs.

Waivers

There will be a liability waiver that all participants must sign.

Snacks

There will be Snacks and drinks provided. Hummus and chips,trail mix, fruit, seltzer water, water, fruit juice.
