INTENTIONALLY ALTERED: A Style Lab & Après Party
with Neon Katie & Kendall Rose at the Burton Flagship Store
Join Neon Katie and Kendall Rose at the Burton Flagship Store on December 12th for an immersive customization workshop and après celebration.
Bring your gear, transform it into a statement piece, and kick off the winter season with us.
We’re hosting two workshop sessions—3–4:45pm and 5–6:45pm—each limited to 15 participants, where you’ll learn how to turn your used snowboarding apparel into something personal, expressive, and unmistakably yours.
Stay after for the Après Party with Bodega Cats B2B Blas, 6:30–9pm.
What to Expect
Bring your well-loved (or brand-new) gear: jackets, pants, bibs, helmets, goggles, boards. *Any brand is welcome*
Katie and Kendall will guide you through altering, styling, painting, and stenciling your pieces into functional artwork.
You’ll learn hands-on techniques while infusing your gear with your own intention.
Kendall will custom-paint a section of each participant’s gear in her signature glacier-inspired street-art style.
Together, we’ll explore how customizing your gear becomes an act of interfacing, connecting you to the object, the process, and the shared energy of the space.
It’s a way of saying:
I am here. You are here. And for a moment, our frequencies matched.
The Heart Behind the Workshop
This experience brings together Katie and Kendall’s shared creative beliefs: two artists who have grown in parallel through collaboration, experimentation, risk-taking, and aligned vision. Their creative alignment has become a force, and this event is about inviting the community into that energy.
The foundation is simple:
Creativity expands when it’s shared.
This workshop gives you space to bring your own perspective, style, and energy into the process while connecting with others doing the same.
About the Artists
Neon Katie brings a multidisciplinary edge shaped by years working across fashion, beauty, and large-scale art. From New York Fashion Week runways to international art installations, she blends makeup artistry, fashion design, sculptural sensibility, and an instinct for what’s next. Her work moves fluidly between worlds. Its bold, experimental, and driven by a deep curiosity for culture, form, and self-expression.
Kendall Rose is a contemporary street artist known for her glacier-inspired murals and environmental storytelling. Her work explores how people relate to landscapes, movement, memory, and the inevitable cycles of internal and external change. Kendall collaborates with brands on visual storytelling, leads workshops, and speaks about environmental connection through a sentimental, accessible lens. Her work has been featured at COP27, the United Nations, and on walls across the U.S. and abroad. She is an active force within Protect Our Winters, rooted in the belief that the intersection of art, science, and emotion can reshape how we relate to each other and the environment.
Together, Katie and Kendall merge fashion, street art, movement, landscape, and personal expression to create experiences that redefine what gear and style can become.
Presented in Partnership with Burton
Burton has always championed individuality and celebrated the rider as the artist, the mountain as the canvas, and snowboarding as a lifestyle rooted in personal expression.
This collaboration brings that philosophy into practice.
