Do I have to know more than one language?

Accepted Answer

No, you can identify as someone who speaks one language and you are more than welcome. However, I think you will find that even within what we consider one language- there is a lot of linguistic diversity ;)

What language will this event be held in?

Accepted Answer

This event will primarily be hosted in spoken English but captions will be enabled to support access for written English. Space for other languages and language varieties will also be held. I ( for example) will be giving examples in my other dominant languages (Spanish and Spanglish).

Will be learning how to speak a new language?

Accepted Answer

You will learn skills and gain insight on language that will support you in language learning. However, this particular space will focus on the reflection of our current language abilities to create more awareness and pride of the language skills we currently attain.
