Pat McDonald

Patricia (Pat) McDonald is a Vice President in the Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group, General Manager of the High-Velocity Program Office. Since joining Intel in 1986, Pat has held a wide range of engineering, manufacturing and management positions, including plant manager of the wafer fabrication facility (FAB) 20 and Chief Talent Officer in Human Resources.

During Pat’s time in manufacturing, she was recognized with an Intel Quality Award for P860 Virtual Factory leadership. As Director of the Assembly Test Manufacturing Excellence (ATMX) organization, she led a mission-based team that collaborated with ATM factory partners to achieve new levels of velocity encompassing affordability, efficiency and profitability.

As Director of the Product Health Enhancement Organization, she created a global organization that delivered breakthrough systems and results in product quality, cost and time-to-market. Pat also pioneered Intel’s Healthcare Marketplace Collaborative - a collaborative that worked to improve access, increase quality and reduce the cost of healthcare for Intel employees and their families.

As Chief Talent Officer, Pat became the change agent applying engineering principles, innovation and collaboration across HR to deliver talent analytics and intelligence, hiring, and mobility programs to secure the right talent for Intel to grow its business. In response to Intel’s commitment to reach full representation of women and underrepresented minorities in the U.S. by 2020, she implemented a systemic breakthrough solution that delivered unprecedented industry-leading results in diversity hiring putting Intel on a path to success. The holistic approach in building a diverse workforce won an Intel Achievement Award in 2016.

Pat’s commitments to collaboration, leadership and diversity have made her a visible public speaker at industry conferences, universities, hospitals, and across Intel. She has also been in media such as USA Today, AP, Bloomberg, Forbes Centroamérica and featured as “The Big Idea” in Harvard Business Review Magazine. Pat is also the executive sponsor of the world-wide Women at Intel Network, and an active leader in the Intel Network of Executive Women.

Pat earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. She lives in Oregon, and enjoys a variety of sports with her husband and son.

Maria Mentzer

Maria is Director of Supply Chain and Business Solutions within Intel’s Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group (NSG). In this role she leads a team responsible for supply chain strategy and programs, business capabilities, and embedded IT functions. Prior to her current role, she’s held a wide variety of roles at Intel. Most recently she was NSGs Marketing Communications Director managing external and internal communications, marketing campaigns, collateral creation, messaging, events, social media marketing, and press & analyst relations for NSG. Her career also includes roles as Business Development Manager in Intel Custom Foundry; Marketing Development Manager in the Internet of Things Group; Technical Assistant to the GM of NSG; Channel Product Marketing Manager; Supply Chain Analyst; Lithography Equipment Maintenance Manager; and Lithography Process Engineer. Her broad background is the result of her drive to become a better leader by getting out of her comfort zone to learn, tackle new challenges, and understand the bigger picture. She is a lean champion, passionate about people, team, and organizational development and she is at her best in situations where she can energize the people around her to achieve business results while developing in their careers. Maria holds an MBA and a MS in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (LGO’09), a MS in Material Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida. She was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and came to the USA on a NCAA golf scholarship. Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and friends and she tries to sneak in a round of golf whenever possible.

Kathryn Carruthers

Kathryn Carruthers is currently an Associate within Intel's Accelerated Leadership Program (ALP), and working in the Non-Volatile Memory Solutions group as the High-Velocity Program Manager. Prior to joining ALP, Kathryn worked as the IT Security Sourcing Manager in IT Strategic Sourcing (ITSS) and also served as the Team Lead for Network and Security. In addition to holding her Masters in Supply Chain from ASU, Kathryn is a licensed attorney and practiced law for 5 years before joining Intel. Kathryn is passionate about continuous improvement and mentoring.
