Event description

Description

This workshop is for women, trans and nonbinary folks only!

Join Bear Douglas for a 3 hour interactive workshop to learn how to incorporate Twitter, Facebook and Slack into your hackathon project.

Each hour you’ll focus on one social API with a 30 minute description and a 30 minute lab, so you can jump right in and get your hands dirty by practicing what you’re learning immediately.

The afternoon session will give you an overview of integrating three of the most important platforms for human interaction on the Web today.

This fully interactive FREE workshop is open to all potential Hack the Patriarchy hackathon attendees -- women, trans, and nonbinary folks only, to gear up and get excited and educated before our big hackathon in October!

Biography:

Bear Douglas is currently the Developer Advocacy Lead at Slack, and was previously in developer relations at both Twitter and Facebook
