Overview

Course explores the integration of mindfulness and somatic interventions as powerful tools for supporting client healing and resilience. 1CE

This course explores the integration of mindfulness and somatic interventions as powerful tools for supporting client healing and resilience. Participants will deepen their understanding of how the mind and body interact in the experience of trauma, stress, and emotional regulation. Through a trauma-informed lens, the course emphasizes how mindfulness and somatic approaches can foster safety, presence, and empowerment in clinical settings.

Attendees will learn practical, evidence-based techniques—such as breathwork, grounding exercises, body scans, and mindful movement—that can be adapted to various therapeutic modalities. The training highlights how to attune to a client’s bodily cues and responses, assess readiness for somatic work, and implement interventions that honor cultural context and individual boundaries.

Clinicians will also explore how to integrate these practices into treatment plans for anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions, with attention to pacing, consent, and safety. Additionally, the course offers strategies for clinicians to cultivate their own embodied awareness and mindfulness, reducing burnout and enhancing therapeutic presence.
