Laurel Goddard Thomas has been drawing and painting human figures since high school. She is a graduate of the School of Fine Art at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and has spent her career working as a costume designer for stage, screen and television in Los Angeles. In recent years, her figurative art has become a more important part of her art practice, and she now works regularly with local and international models thanks to Zoom.
Her figurative work has been exhibited and collected internationally as well as all across the U.S. and Canada. She has taught life drawing at several local venues and is looking forward to helping Artist Council members learn to "see" and draw the figure.
