"Instinct Twin Drift" is a competition that challenges teams of two drivers to showcase their drifting skills. The goal is to determine the best and most consistent pair of drifters around. It's important to note that this is not a singles event. Our aim is to have fun and put on an amazing show for the audience.
To allow for more practice time, we will not be conducting a qualifying round. Instead, all pairs will have the chance to impress the judges in their three laps. The scores from each pair's laps will be averaged to determine the top eight teams for the finals. Consistency is key in this competition.
In the final round, the remaining eight teams will have only one lap to prove who the top three winners of the Instinct Twin Drift are. It's important to note that we are not looking for a demolition derby. While close proximity is appreciated to showcase car control, judges will be more impressed by line and transition, not ramming into each other.
The teams will be judged based on a 100-point system, which takes into consideration the following criteria: Precision Driving, Clipping Points for both drivers, Synchronized Transitions, Showmanship, and Bonus Points for aggressive driving, style, and presentation.
It's important to remember that the goal of the competition is to mirror your partner, not compete against them. There are no car limitations in this competition, but passing the standard RSD tech is a must. Although not required, it's highly suggested that participants have a cage for safety purposes.
