Thank you for your interest in attending NSBE DFW's 6th annual InspireSTEM Futures Summit.
InspireSTEM Futures is hosted by The National Society of Black Engineers DFW Professionals Chapter to prepare minority middle and high school students (grades 6–12) to excel in higher education and become tomorrow’s leaders in STEM.
The agenda includes:
- Hands-On Learning: Students engage with engineers, tech professionals + current college students pursuing STEM, and dive into robotics, coding, AI, and other interactive workshops.
- Real-World Insight: Students hear directly from Black STEM professionals and college students in STEM about STEM majors, career journeys and day-to-day industry experiences.
- College & Career Prep: Parents/guardians and interested students participate in expert-led sessions covering financial aid, scholarships, admissions. Students will participate in expert-led sessions on strategies for thriving in university life.
- Mentorship: Students connect with collegiate and professional mentors in engineering and tech, who provide guidance, encouragement, and inspiration.
- Giveaways: Students will be entered into a raffle for free tech giveaways.
InspireSTEM Futures demystifies the path to a STEM degree and empowers students and families with the confidence and knowledge needed to turn their ambitions into reality. Students gain early exposure to the professional environment through connections with our corporate partners and Black professionals in STEM, giving them a real-world perspective on industry.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
