Description

– Closing Conference & Networking Cocktail –

The Human Development Research Initiative (HDRI) had a very fruitful and decisive year, with more than 10 research reports published, 50 watch team articles reacting to the topical issues of international development and a proactive advocacy campaign on resilience and migrations in Paris. Our research teams worked on critical dimensions of human development, including the multiple definitions of grey zones; the scales and efficiency of inclusive policies in cities; the policy implications climate migrations will have on territories and on the global community; social wellbeing profiles of Latin American countries and education performance in OECD countries.

HDRI’s second year was also decisive in in winning a Paris City Hall competition for the second time, in building a strong network of mentors and in developing prestigious partnerships, namely with the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab.

This conference is the occasion for us to celebrate our achievements and to close a very dense year in international development, by discussing some critical issues with our esteemed panel of speakers:

  • Guido Schmidt-Traub, Executive Director, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)

  • John Crowley, Chief of Section for Research, Policy and Foresight, Social and Human Science, UNESCO’s Inclusive Policy Lab

  • Maud Ritz, General Delegate, UN Women French Committee

  • Caroline Tassot, Development Economist, OECD Development Center

Note: Registration is REQUIRED for entry. Please ONLY register for the event if you are sure to attend as spaces are limited.
