Event: Their presentation will be a show and tell demonstrating for educational purposes how hacking devices are used in cybersecurity attacks, how to recognize these threats, and the best ways to defend against them.
Speakers
Johnnie Shubert has taught Information Systems courses at several universities and worked in a variety of roles with HP, Philips, and Kimberly-Clark. He currently serves as the NNPI Tech Lead for the U.S. Navy. Johnnie was awarded a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship to pursue doctoral studies in Information Systems at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Over his career, he has earned numerous industry certifications, including CISSP, PMP, CEH, AWS Solutions Architect, MCSE, Security+, Network+, and A+.
Richard Rychlicki brings over 15 years of experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and securing our nation’s payments system for the Federal Reserve. As a cybersecurity analyst, he supported the FedNow instant payments system, ensuring NIST RMF compliance. Currently, he provides classified cybersecurity support for the Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).
