Inside Decatur Street: A Storytelling and Dance Performance Project

By Libby Mislan

Overview

Real, authentic stories brought to life through dance. Honoring the depth of our neighborhood's lineage. Dreaming the future together.

For the past 8 weeks, a group of neighbors on Decatur Street between Ralph and Howard Aves have been gathering weekly and sharing the stories of their lives. What has emerged are powerful testimonies to the rich history of Decatur Street and Bedford Stuyvesant, and to the power of community in trying times.

Join us on Saturday, November 22nd as professional dancers bring the stories to life through movement.
