EMILY FOXHALL, finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism, leads Writing from our Senses, an eight-week course where participants will work toward one long piece of writing, such as a personal essay or a feature story on a subject of the writer's choosing, with an emphasis on incorporating sensory description. Journalism requires a writer to pay attention and describe the world around them beyond sight alone. The most compelling writing engages every sense, making the experience come alive on the page.
