Hosted by Erica Liburd. Ericas hairdressing career began 1995 at the age of 17, she then went on to qualify as a hairdressing assessor and educator in 2007 and became a salon owner 2014. Erica’s hairdressing career has developed into a successful multifaceted business with a multi cultural salon.

Texture Unravelled is a campaign to revolutionise and rejuvenate the hairdressing industry. Dedicated to championing inclusive hair education across all cultures and ethnicities with a distinct focus on textured hair through dynamic research and education, in person and online discussions, hands-on-training, and collaborative peer sessions.

Looking at the History of Textured hair, we explore how and why it has been politicised and judged and discuss the ways in which Hairstylists can contribute to societal change within their close networks and wider communities.
