Is this event appropriate for children?

Accepted Answer

We ask that any individual who attends be able to sit quietly and calmly throughout the full event as the space and experience is intended to be very calm and meditative. Individuals who distract from this type of setting will be asked to step out in into the hallway until the experience is done.

Is there parking available?

Accepted Answer

Parking is available in the lots on the East side of Central High School, accessible via Green Bay Street. *Parking is not allowed in the Festival parking lot.*

Question 3

How do I find the planetarium at Central High School?

Accepted Answer

Enter the school via the main bank of doors just off the main parking lot on the East side of the school. We will put up some signage to help guide you. The planetarium is on the 3rd floor of the school. When you come into the main entrance, turn right to find the stairs.

Question 4

Is there elevator access to reach the planetarium on the 3rd floor?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is an elevator available. When you come into the main entrance of the school, cross to the far end of the main entry room to find the elevator.

Question 5

Should I bring anything?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to bring a small blanket to cover you if that will help you to feel more comfortable. The size of the blanket must be small enough that it doesn't disturb other guests. Guests will be seated in chairs as opposed to on the floor.

Can I bring food or drink?

Accepted Answer

Food and beverages (besides water) are not allowed in the planetarium.

Can I record the program?

Accepted Answer

Cameras and recording devices are not allowed once the program has begun.

Are there any strobes or flashing lights?

Accepted Answer

We have designed this experience to be gentle for individuals with visually triggered conditions. There are no strobes or flashing lights. At the beginning of the program, the visuals represent traveling through the galaxy, however,  it is done smoothly. Color transitions move as a gentle fade.
