Ink painting and the essence of Japanese art making

In this workshop I will introduce techniques for creating simple yet sophisticated ways. First, we will talk about the materials including brushes, paper, ink; and also sizing the paper and grinding the ink; as well as holding the brush. we will then create flowers, fish, dragon flies, trees and landscapes or whatever your heart desires. While doing all this I will also speak to Japanese ways of living, creating, and looking at art and how we can apply all this to our own lives.August 10 or 17, 1-3pm, Ages 16+
