Event description
Join InHEIRitance Project artists to share your ideas about Coastal Virginia and contribute to a brand new play debuting May 2022!

About this event

The In[HEIR]itance Project is a national arts organization that helps unconnected neighbors navigate challenging civic conversations through collaborative theatre projects. Using the unique history of Coastal Virginia, and the inherited text Exodus, we are activating a dialogue on racial dynamics, redlining, and displacement to create a play for the Virginia Arts Festival in May 2022.

We want YOU to be a part of our open playmaking process! Join us at one of our upcoming Open Salons to participate in a creative conversation facilitated by In[HEIR]itance Project artists. You will have the opportunity to share ideas about Coastal Virginia and contribute your perspective to the many that will make up a brand new play.

Thursday December 9, 2021 | 6:30-8pm at Virginia Arts Festival’s Robin Hixon Theater, Clay and Jay Barr Education Center
