Course Overview

In the age of AI, deep fakes, and misinformation, the need for critical information literacy is at an all-time high. In this half-day online course and 3-week asynchronous workshop, you will learn the foundations of information literacy and how to talk confidently about context, reputability, and research. You will learn several different teaching methods to help engage students in identifying mis- and disinformation. You will also have the opportunity to create lesson plans and receive feedback from peers and a facilitator before you leave this course.
