Information Session about International Student Conferences and Available Programs

Discover the Japan–America, Korea–America, and China–America Student Conferences (JASC, KASC, and ChASC)—three pioneering student-led exchange programs that connect university students from the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China through dialogue, cultural immersion, and leadership development.

Founded on the belief that students are the best ambassadors for peace and understanding, each conference brings together an equal number of participants from each country for a three-week journey of academic exploration, cultural exchange, and collaborative problem-solving. What makes these programs unique is their student-run model: every year, a binational or trilateral Executive Committee of students designs the themes, organizes the itinerary, and leads all activities—creating an empowering, hands-on experience that builds global awareness, lifelong friendships, and professional skills valued by future employers.

Join us to learn how you can take part in one of these transformative conferences in 2026:

  • JASC (Japan–America Student Conference): San Francisco, Nashville, and Washington, D.C.
  • KASC (Korea–America Student Conference): San Francisco, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C.
  • ChASC (China–America Student Conference): Washington, D.C.; Missoula, Montana; Zhenming, Yunnan Province; and Beijing, China.

Japan–America Student Conference (JASC)

Discover the Japan–America Student Conference (JASC), the oldest student-led exchange program between Japan and the United States. Founded in 1934, JASC brings together an equal number of American and Japanese university students each summer for three weeks of cross-cultural dialogue, academic exploration, and leadership development.

What makes JASC truly unique is that students don’t just participate—they run the program. A student Executive Committee organizes every aspect of the conference, from selecting the annual themes to designing workshops and site visits. The result is a dynamic, peer-led experience that fosters global awareness, intercultural communication, and practical leadership skills sought after by employers worldwide.

Join us to learn how you can become part of this transformative program. The 78th JASC will take place in San Francisco, Nashville, and Washington, D.C. from July 31 to August 22, 2026.

Korea–America Student Conference (KASC)

Explore the Korea–America Student Conference (KASC), a premier student-led exchange program connecting university students from South Korea and the United States. Since its founding, KASC has built a tradition of fostering mutual understanding, cross-cultural dialogue, and collaborative leadership between the next generation of global citizens.

Each summer, an equal number of students from both countries come together for a three-week journey of academic discussion, cultural immersion, and professional growth. What sets KASC apart is its student-run model—every year, a binational Executive Committee of students designs the conference themes, plans activities, and leads discussions, creating an empowering, hands-on experience that develops real-world skills and lifelong connections.

Join us to learn how you can be part of this transformative experience. The 18th KASC will take place in San Francisco, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C. from July 25 to August 12, 2026.

China–America Student Conference (ChASC)

Join the China–America Student Conference (ChASC), a premier student-led exchange program that brings together university students from China and the United States to engage in meaningful dialogue, cultural exploration, and collaborative leadership development.

Each year, an equal number of students from both countries participate in this three-week program, which combines academic discussion, cultural exchange, and hands-on learning. What makes ChASC unique is its student-driven structure—an international Executive Committee of students designs the conference themes, plans the itinerary, and leads the sessions, ensuring an immersive, peer-led experience that fosters mutual understanding and real-world leadership skills.

Come learn how you can be part of this dynamic initiative. The 5th China–America Student Conference will take place in Washington, D.C.; Missoula, Montana; and Kunming, Yunnan Province, and Beijing, China from July 3–24, 2026.
