Experience the magic of Borgo Batone
Nestled in the Tuscan hills around Lucca lies Borgo Batone, a European community with history and everything that makes a village a village: a harmonious collection of houses of different sizes, ages and functions, a fountain, a chapel, a village square and its own water source. The heart of the village is the villa Barsotti with its communal garden and pool.

We believe in the power of community
Community is central to us, based on respect, mutual understanding and personal responsibility. We love making and implementing plans together, cooking and eating together at the Tavolo Fratino - at the same time we value the individuality of each person.We are a colorful community of over 80 parties who bought Borgo 2022 together, with the most diverse backgrounds and experiences. Most of us didn't know each other before and are now growing together through our shared vision, including our local neighbors and their enthusiasm for a revitalized Borgo Batone. We want to help shape a future worth living, create new things with energy, work collaboratively, try out shared leadership and learn together.

Sustainable action is important to us
We try to minimize CO2 emissions on our travels and avoid waste on site. We use biodegradable products and sustainable materials and bring our own bed linen to conserve resources. We have our own spring water, which is so good that our neighbors have always come over from the surrounding villages to fill up their drinking water. We are maintaining this local tradition.

A home away from home
We all have our lives and homes somewhere in Europe. Borgo Batone brings us together again and again and, with its 25 hectares, offers plenty of opportunities for retreat and space for relaxation and creativity. You can plan a relaxing vacation, celebrate parties, organize retreats, team events or workshops or simply experience the beauty of Tuscany.

We are different
We are in the middle of setting up our project and our community. This means that there are rough edges: simply furnished rooms and kitchens in which some things are improvised, shared bathrooms and partially unplastered walls. We are not and will not be a hotel - we offer individual vacation apartments and great community spaces, integrated into the temporary local community in a historically grown village. All this makes Borgo Batone a very special place - a place for friends of the community and lovers of the simple, beautiful life.

And we continue to grow

In Borgo Batone steht Gemeinschaft im Mittelpunkt,  basierend auf Respekt, gegenseitigem Verständnis  und Selbstverantwortung. Wir lieben es, zusammen  Pläne zu schmieden und umzusetzen, zu kochen und gemeinsam am Tavolo Fratino zu essen – gleichzeitig  schätzen wir die Individualität jeder Person. 

Wir glauben an die Kraft der Gemeinschaft
Wir sind eine bunte Gemeinschaft aus über 80 Partei en, die das Borgo 2022 gemeinsam gekauft haben.  Wir bringen die unterschiedlichsten Hintergründe und  Erfahrungen mit, kannten uns vorher größtenteils  nicht und wachsen nun durch unsere gemeinsame  Vision zusammen. Wir wollen eine lebenswerte  Zukunft mitgestalten, mit Tatkraft neue Dinge kreie ren, kollaborativ arbeiten, geteilte Führung aus probieren und miteinander lernen. 

Nachhaltiges Handeln ist uns wichtig
Bei der Anreise versuchen wir CO2 zu reduzieren und  vor Ort Müll zu vermeiden. Wir nutzen biologisch  abbaubare Produkte und um Ressourcen zu schonen, bringt jeder seine Bettwäsche selbst mit. Wir haben  eigenes Quellwasser, das so gut ist, dass Bewohner Innen aus den umliegenden Dörfern vorbeikommen,  um sich Trinkwasser abzufüllen.

Ein Zuhause fernab der Heimat
Unser Dorf bietet mit seinen 25 Hektar genügend Möglichkeiten zum Rückzug und Raum für Entspan nung und Kreativität. Du kannst einen erholsamen  Urlaub planen, Feste feiern, Retreats, Teamevents  oder Workshops veranstalten oder einfach nur die  Schönheit der Toskana erleben.

Wir sind anders
Wir öffnen Borgo Batone in diesem Jahr für externe  Gäste – wohlwissend, dass noch nicht alles rund  läuft. Wir befinden uns mitten im Aufbau unseres  Projekts und unserer Community. Das heißt, es gibt  Ecken und Kanten: einfach eingerichtete Zimmer  und Küchen, in denen das ein oder andere improvi siert ist, geteilte Bäder und teilweise unverputzte  Wände. Wir sind und werden kein Hotelbetrieb – wir  bieten individuelle Ferienwohnungen und tolle Ge meinschaftsflächen, eingebunden in die temporäre  Vor-Ort-Gemeinschaft in einem historisch gewach senen Dorf.

Und wir wachsen weiter
Wir öffnen unsere Türen für neue Mitglieder, die unsere Gemeinschaft mit Eigeninitiative und Tatkraft bereichern. Insbesondere freuen wir uns auf und über internationale Mitglieder.
