About this event

Unintentional injury is one of the leading causes of death in children in the United States. In this class you will learn infant CPR and infant choking prevention from a trained professional. Additionally, car seat safety checks will be offered after the training.

There is no charge for parents and children are welcome. The class is brought to you by the NewboRN Home Visiting Program in partnership with the Children’s Trust of Alachua County and the Healthy Start of North Central Florida Coalition.

The NewboRN Home Visiting Program is a free program offered to all Alachua County women who give birth at a hospital, birth center or home within the county. Within a week after baby is born, a registered nurse will visit you at home to see how you are doing, share information and connect you to services and resources.
