Indy Maven November Meetup | Art Unplugged with Meghan Barich

By Indy Maven

Overview

Join us for Art Unplugged—a creative night of wine, snacks, and a hands-on mixed-media workshop at Create Art Studio.

IMPORTANT: Due to a scheduling conflict, the event will now take place at Creative Ayurveda, the lovely new space by Penelope Dullaghan (who also teaches monthly printmaking classes at Create Art Studio) at 803 Broad Ripple Avenue (above Insomnia Cookies).

Unplug. Unwind. Unleash your creativity.

Join us for our November Meetup: Art Unplugged hosted by Create Art Studio in Broad Ripple Village. This hands-on evening is all about connection, expression, and a little art therapy for the soul.

✨ What’s happening:

  • Tour the two-year-old, process-based art studio, co-founded by Alissa Moody and Chrissy Sweigart, that’s all about community + creativity.
  • Sip wine, snack, mingle.
  • Dive into a 60-minute mixed-media workshop led by local artist Meghan Barich using upcycled materials, scraps, cardboard, and more. (Think ripping, gluing, painting—play, not perfection.)

Schedule:

6:30–7:00 p.m. | Doors open: networking

7:00–8:00 p.m. | Mixed-Media Workshop

8:00–8:30 p.m. | Mingling and wrap-up

🎟 Tickets: FREE for Indy Maven members, $20 for non-members

📍 Location: Creative Ayurveda | Above Insomnia Cookies in Broad Ripple at 803 Broad Ripple Avenue

🅿️ Parking: Parking is available on side streets and in the parking garage across from The Vogue.

Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just art-curious, this evening is about exploration and joy in the process.

Spots are limited (and WILL sell out)—so snag yours today.

About Alissa Moody: Co-Founder and Art Enthusiast

Growing up in a family who put great emphasis on all things art, Alissa has always had a passion for supporting the arts in her community and at large during her travels. Now with two children, Alissa continues to seek out opportunities to immerse herself, children, and family into the arts. She discovered the need for a process based art studio in her community, and with the help of her talented friend and art teacher, Chrissy, set out to bring this vision to a reality in her community. Alissa also has years of pediatric experience, serving as a Pediatric Physical Therapist at both Peyton Manning and Riley Children’s Hospitals for over 13 years. Alissa is also on the board of Love, Broad Ripple, which helps to cultivate a vibrant community by supporting and promoting local merchants.
