Does spray tanning equipment come with the purchase of a certification class?

Any spray tanning equipment, starter package or solution is a separate purchase from the ticket cost. Aviva offers discounted starter packages with an additional student only coupon to use towards the purchase.

Do I have to be state licensed to spray tan?

Only in the state of Oregon do you need to be a licensed esthetician to perform a spray tan service. Every other state in the U.S. you do not need to be state licensed and board certified.

Do I need to bring a model with me to class to practice learning the spray technique?

You don't need to bring a model with you since we have found it is easiest to pair students up with each other to practice learning the spray technique. This will mean that you will be participating as a model and you will be required to bring a spray appropriate outfit, like a bathing suit.

What if I can’t model for another student?

Sometimes students prefer not to model for various reasons so we ask that you do provide your own spray model if you decide to opt out.

What should I bring and what should I wear to class?

Other than your spray outfit you are not required to bring anything with you since all training materials are provided for you. Drinks, snacks, and lunch are a good idea if you do not want to purchase any items. We suggest wearing comfortable clothes that are easy to change in and out of.
