About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Both inside and outside of the workplace, we all have different types of power at our disposal. Some of it is positional (through job titles and professional roles), and some of it is personal (the ability to influence people and events with or without formal authority). Whether we realize it or not, we are all impacted by power in a variety of ways, and we were all born with personal power. As human beings, we need power to navigate the world and to get what we want and need. People who harness their personal power affect change around them by regulating themselves, creating a positive worldview, and leading by example.

This two-hour micro-course is designed to help participants strengthen their personal power by exploring key topics such as the types of power, sources of power, and strategies for using power effectively. Attendees will benefit from instructor-led discussions, a collaborative group exercise, action planning, and more.
