This program will look at functional medicine/primary care practices and aid the practitioner in making sure all of their diagnostic bases are covered. Functional medicine practitioners are now called upon to be primary care doctors as their role in the health care system has evolved. As many practitioners focus on functional medicine, foundational diagnostics must be incorporated into the everyday practice so as not to miss pathologic processes. A fundamental principle should be to never go with a lesser diagnosis until a more serious diagnosis has been ruled out. In this presentation, Dr. Kleber will discuss what he’s learned in his 42 years in practice and pass that knowledge on to attendees. By sharing case studies, he will discuss some of the mistakes he’s made and what insights he learned from those experiences, along with many outstanding patient outcomes.

William Kleber DC, DABCI

Dr. Kleber received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College in 1982. He also earned his Diplomate Degree from the American Board of Chiropractic Internists in 2000. He is one of two coordinators of the DABCI program, certified by the Council on Diagnosis and Internal Disorders. His interest in internal medicine began when he came to believe that his patients were suffering from more than just subluxations, but serious internal disorders continually exacerbating the subluxations. His desire to learn more about these issues stemmed from his dedication to improve not only the health of his patients, but the quality of their life, with natural medicine.
