FAQ's
Where is Skip Entertainment Company?
Skip is located at 440 East S Marine Corps Dr Suite 101B, Hagåtña, 96910, Guam. It is the same building as Asiga. The studio is on the ground floor. Parking is available next door, behind Dial-Rent-To-Own.
When do you arrive?
We recommend arriving 5-10 mins before class starts, so you can sign in and get settled.
What do you wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can freely move in. For footwear, wear flat dance shoes, grip socks or sneakers. If you’re wearing sneakers, steer away from “rocker” soles as flatter soles will provide you with more stability.
What do you bring?
A bottle of water and an open mind.
What style of dance is this class?
Also called street jazz, jazz/funk emerged in the 1980’s and is usually a mix of hip-hop, jazz and other dance genres. Usually seen in music videos today, the dance style is both fun and expressive.
Is the class suitable for beginners?
Yes. The instructor will use repetition to help the steps stick and provide variations to movements if needed.
What can you expect during the class?
We’ll start with a warm-up and a few small combinations (to help get the body and brain working together). Then, most of the class is spent on learning a longer dance combination. Lastly, we’ll finish off the class with running through the dance multiple times as a group.
Other things to remember:
- If you have an injury or a pre-existing condition that may impact your movement, please let the instructor know before class. Know your limits and listen to your body.
- Photos and videos will be captured throughout the class for promotional purposes.
