About the Book
Al Higdon looks back across nine decades of a thoroughly American life, a time in which the fundamental values of an Eagle Scout guided and sustained him in a career that put him at the high-flying heart of general aviation in the United States. A co-founder of what would become one of the premier advertising and public relations firms in the Midwest, Al and his colleagues there demonstrated in unmistakeable terms that Wichita, Kansas need not take a seat second to any New York or Los Angeles ad agency in terms of its strategically-driven creative product. After his retirement from Sullivan, Higdon & Sink in 1996, he has continued full-time the civic and philanthropic engagement begun in early adulthood, years of varied service to essentially every area of public life in his home town and state. And always, he would insist, his accomplishments have come in the course of team play, showing forth at every turn the power of two. This book was authored by John Brown.
