Media Clown is an ongoing, devised project that includes live, digital, and hybrid in-person performances. On June 21-22, Media Clown will hold dress rehearsals of A Night of Yu, a workshop version of the first part of a multi-modal performance series that uses theatrical clown techniques [think Buster, not Bozo] to interrogate the Big Tech industry and examine the absurdity of our country’s growing wealth gap.

Perceval, an eccentric tech guru, has invented the biggest thing since sliced bread - the yu, a humanoid holographic avatar that can physically inhabit the three-dimensional world - but no major funders believe that his invention is worth their investment. So, Perceval is taking matters into his own hands: he’s going straight to his future user-base to raise capital. Tonight, Perceval will host A Night of Yu fundraiser to raise capital and gain investors for his brilliant invention. During the event, he will get to show off his own personal yu, and demonstrate exactly why you should invest early in this lucrative idea. Problem is, the yu isn't actually perfect yet - and when it is, it'll change the game forever.

Audience Participants will be asked to keep their camera and microphone on.

All attendees will be emailed a Zoom link for the dress rehearsal prior to the event.
