Come learn how to make your own poi! We will be hosting three classes at 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm: each class will be taught the process of cleaning kalo, the steps to pound your kalo into poi, and the significance and history behind each of these actions. Papa and pōhaku ku'i 'ai (poi pounding board and stones) will be available to borrow. Cooked whole kalo from Kaua'i will be sold at $5/pound.
To reserve your spot 1). Select a class time, 2). complete the full order form on Eventbrite, and 3). complete purchase of kalo using this link: KOKA Website to Purchase Kalo
All purchases must be completed through this link prior to the class. If payment for kalo isn't received within two days of Eventbrite registration, we may need to open up that slot so others have a chance to sign-up.
