In Conversation with OPB: The State of Public Education in Oregon

By OPB

Overview

Learn about the current and future state of public education in Oregon from the OPB team and education experts around the region.

Join OPB’s Dave Miller and the “Class of 2025” reporting team for a conversation with education experts and faculty from around the Pacific Northwest about public education – what it is designed to do, who it is for, and how it might be changing for a new generation of students.

Guests include Ann Ishimaru (University of Washington Chair of Diversity Studies and Professor of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Policy), Jeffrey McGee (Director of Education, Rosemary Anderson Prep), and Kali Thorne Ladd (Chief Executive Officer, Children’s Institute).

Featuring a screening of “Class of 2025: Growing Up in Oregon Schools,” an OPB documentary that follows a cohort of students and their lived experiences from kindergarten to senior year.

Light snacks provided by OPB.
