Join journalists and leading scholars from Northwestern, the University of Chicago, UIC, and the Chicago Defender for a "teach-in" and community learning session on the role of journalism in a functioning democracy.

Put our current moment in context using the lenses of political science, history, civil rights and constitutional law. Walk away with reading recommendations and a broader understanding of the role of a free press in providing checks and balances to the houses of government.
