What if I have zero improv experience?

You are welcome to join! It helps if you have taken some kind of acting, improv, public speaking class, but how this workshop is run you will have a great time.

What if I have a lot of improv experience? If this not for me?

You can use this to get more scene work and improv reps! Also meet other improvisers in the area. The more you do the workshop the better you will be as a performer.

Do I have to register early or can I drop in and pay at the door?

If you want to secure a slot sign up early but feel free to drop-in and pay cash!

Are you affiliated with any other comedy theaters or clubs in the Hudson Valley?

No, we are a new independent comedy theatre called The Duke Comedy Theatre. We are seasoned improv teachers and coaches who moved from NYC to the Hudson Valley. But please go check out Rhino Comedy and Happenstancery Improv! They are friends or ours!

What if my only improv experience is a 2 hour workshop?

Will this happen monthly?

Yes every third Sunday 1-3pm at River Valley Arts Center.

Will you do other more advanced workshops as well?

Yes we will have more workshops focused on scene work, forms, group play, matching, and more.

What time should I arrive?

Try to show up 5 minutes before to get situated, meet the other performers, and so we can start on time.
