Description

Take the next step toward performing improv onstage! Level 201 will focus on exploring the diverse world of improv, from performance formats to schools of improv thought, as well as maintaining and building on the skills learned in Level 101. Classes will include work on short scenes, characters and relationiships, space-object work, building short-form skills and application of those skills into long-form. Taught by veteran cast members Jen Whitley and Sarah Hart. Each class is a two hour long session.

Pre-Requisite: Student must have completed 101 with STF or another qualified improv training center.

5 people minimum, 16 maximum.

Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, February 11 through March 18
(please hold Monday, March 25 in case of weather cancelation)
Showcase: Tuesday, March 26 at Seacoast Rep

Instructor Bio:

Jen Whitley has been a cast member and improv instructor with Stranger Than Fiction since 2011, and has also been seen on Maine stages performing with The Escapists, the Improvised Puppet Project, and Running with Scissors. She can't imagine a life without improv. When not performing or teaching improv to kind New England folks, she can be seen teaching yoga or hiking while playing the ukulele.
