Learn the basics of long-form improv. Students will cover scenework principles like "yes-and" and active listening. Over this six-week period, we'll build the groundwork for comedic improvised scenes that'll jumpstart your love of improv.
Classes every Tuesdays, June 24th - July 29th from 7:00-9:30pm.
The course will culminate in a student show on Saturday, August 2nd at 5:30pm.

CLASS REQUIREMENTS:
- Students are required to attend 2 improv shows at Mettlesome during the course (students get into shows for free)
- Students are allowed a maximum of 2 absences per course.

INSTRUCTOR: Asher DeMadet
Asher DeMadet (she/her) is a quick-witted actress who's breaking boundaries in the world of comedy. Her theatrical career started at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. She performs with Mettlesome Tour Co. and plays as a cast member of Mettlesome's 'Well Seasoned' and 'House Party'. Asher recently directed, wrote, and performed in the sketch show "Sugar & Spice: Cold as Ice." Outside of Mettlesome, Asher performs with indie teams 'Out To Lunch' and 'Stolen Identity'. Her performances are not just comedy; they are an invitation to a world of imagination, catharsis, and endless entertainment!
Off stage, Asher is a software engineer who enjoys playing tennis and watching Jeopardy.
