This 6 class course introduces students to the foundational concepts of theatrical improvisation.
This six class course introduces students to the foundational concepts of theatrical improvisation. Each fundamental idea is explained, explored, and experienced as a distinct and basic part of a bigger, more complex art form. Expected topics include:
- Trust / Teamwork
- Listening
- Agreement
- Emotions
- Character
- Environment
Emphasis at this level is on “easy, fun improvisation” that gets everyone playing and laughing right away. After the completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to perform in a Student Improv Show where they will showcase their skills and talents in front of a supportive audience of family, friends, and other improv students.
