About this event

Daniel T. Huang has been practicing immigration law since 1996. He is a certified specialist in immigration and nationality law with the State Bar of California. Daniel is currently Co-Chair of the Border Legal Clinic for the National Lawyer’s Guild (“NLG”) and serves on the Board of the Los Angeles Chapter of the NLG. He also serves on the Board of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (“LACBA”) as a trustee representing the immigration section. Prior to joining the LACBA board, Daniel was elected as the Chair of the Immigration Section from 2016-2017. Over the years, Daniel has held liaison positions representing the private bar before federal agencies, these include the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, USCIS California Service Center, USCIS Asylum Office, and the U.S. State Department. In recent years, Daniel has focused his practice on border and admission issues, where he closely monitors policy changes related to treaty investors/workers, SENTRI pass holders, asylum seekers, and unaccompanied minors.

Daniel’s passion for immigration law and migrant rights is reflected through his pro bono activities with the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, the Flores settlement visitation project, Al Otro Lado, Clergy and Laity for Economic Justice, the Removal Defense Corp, and One Justice.
