Imagination Lunchbox/Eubie Blake Filmmaking Workshops

The 2025 Imagination Lunnchbox/Eubie Blake Filmmaking Workshops to be held September 13,th at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore from 3-5pmEST with virtual access via Zoom (link to be at https://imaginationlunchbox.com/ili-film-festival.html).

The workshop presentations include Film Production hosted by John Wesby (Wesby One Productions) who is executive producer at BET Networks, Scriptwriting by Ursula V. Battle (Battlestage Plays) who an award winning playwright/producer ("Serenity House") and journalist (The Baltimore Times), Directing by Chuck Borden(Faceplant Films) whose credits include Fast & the Furious and Star Trek movies, and Hollywood Attorney Richard B. Jefferson (LawyersRock.com) with his Ask a Lawyer Session.

The ILIFF event was founded by Anthony Michael Hobbs, a SAG/AFTRA actor who has amassed multi-awards for his acting, most notable for his role in the Emmy Award nominated mini-series The Abolitionist which resulted in him attending the Emmys at 9 years old and being interviewed by ABC News. He is also a multi-award winning filmmaker with over 20 awards for his short films

The Imagination Lunchbox film festival is a community event launched to screen and award short films made by children and adults from around the world. The ILIFF event is presented by Imagination Lumnchbox, LLC, a company founded by Hobbs in 2014.

Mon. - Fri. Sept. 8 - 12, 2025: ILICFF and ILIAFF shorts to be screened privately at selected Baltimore City schools

Saturday September 13, 2025 (12pm-2pmEST): ILICFF and ILIAFF shorts are Screening and Awarded held virtually via Zoom with access at the Eubie Blake Center also.

Saturday September 13, 2025 (3pm-5pmEST): IL/Eubie Blake Filmmaking Workshops held at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore. Presentations by John Wesby (Wesby One Productions) executive producer at BET Networks is speaking on film production, and Ursula V. Sunday September 14, 2025 (12 - 2pmEST): The Imagination Lunchbox Virtual Open Call Auditions held virtually, powered by Zoom, where actors perform before a panel of filmmakers with projects on BET, HULU, Netflix, and TUBI.

Sunday September 14, 2025(3 - 5pmEST): Imagination Lunchbox Open Court Basketball Community Games held at the UA House at Fayette in Baltimore. Both teens and adults play for the fun, with head coaches from Morgan State University and Bowie State University, on hand with Imagination Lunchbox head coach Mark Winchester scouting. One selected player goes one-on-one with founder Anthony Hobbs for a cash prize!
