Learn how to successfully transfer images from magazines and laser prints onto the gel plate!During this workshop we will explore using magazine images as well as laser copies to learn the best practices of transferring from the gel plate to paper. It can be a challenging and tricky process but there are specific steps that will help ensure success.Note: this process uses regular acrylic paints, NOT Golden Open paints. In this workshop, you will learn how to lay down a thin even layer of paint and how much time to leave on the image. Once the image remains on the plate, a second layer of paint or mat medium is used to pull up the image onto paper.Additional textures can be added to the plate in order to create unique and artistic images!Students will walk away with a collection of unique papers created from the transfer process. These papers may be used as completed art works, or added into collages or mixed media art.Supply List for Students to Bring:
